Sassa has just made an announcement that SRD payments will commence mid June. The agency has indicated that they will make multiple payments to clear the backlogs.
“Payments for the new cycle of the special COVID-19 SRD grant (from April 2022) will be paid as from mid-september 2022.” Said Sassa on their Facebook Page.
The organisation continues and said
“SASSA will continue clearing outstanding payments from the previous cycle as and when the bank details are confirmed.” This means that if you have not yet updated your banking details on the SRD system, you have to do so immediately.
Sassa message continues
“The payments will not be done together, but will be done month by month.
More than one payment may be made in a month, but no one will receive double payments in amount.”
Backlog clearance
